Alby Church Clock

Thomas Randell is cited by Clifford Bird In Norrfolk Clockmakers as the maker of the Alby Church clock which is still in the church to this day, however it appears that the clock was in appalling repair and removed many years ago.
The Randell clock and a second clock which also spent a period in the church were stored for a long period by a local parishioner. The clock was finally refurbished but from components of several clocks of a simular vintage. Unfortunately, and appropriately the second clock became the basis of the restoration and is attributed to Joseph Fitt and not Thomas Randell.

Saxon Churches

On a brighter note, I strongly recommend if you get the chance to visit the round tower Saxon churches of North Norfolk that you leap at it.
I definitely recommend it.

I would love to hear from you. I would be thrilled to receive any contributions or even corrections.
