Blanch RANDELL 1862

Blanch Randell was baptised 2 November 1862 in North Walsham. She was born around the time her parents, James Randell and Emily Lane, moved from Buxton back to North Walsham.
Intriguingly, she was recorded as Blanch without an ‘e’ on both her birth and wedding registration but as Blanche with an ‘e’ in every census.
Blanch lived at home with her parents in Norwich Road, until in 1887, age 25, she married John Dixon. Once married the couple moved to Knapton, slightly north of North Walsham. By 1901 they had returned to Norwich Road and were the immediate next door neighbours of her parents and sister.
In 1901 Blanch, by then aged 38, had no children.

John DIXON 1862

John Dixon was the son of William and Mary A Dixon. He was born in Trunch in the final quarter of 1862 and was one of ten children. The two eldest, both girls, were to unfortunately die as infants. With the exception of John's father William, who was born in Southrepps, the entire family were born and lived in Trunch, Norfolk. Two addresses are recorded, Wrights Lane, now presumably 'Wrights Loke' and Chapel Street, near the corner of Bradfield Road.
John's first appearance in the census record, in 1881, shows him to be aged 7 and apparently already an agricultural labourer. He was either incredibly ambitious or one too many ditto’s gave him a career.
John Dixon was recorded as an agricultural worker in 1891 but this was refined to gardener in 1901. He appears to have been involved in the commercial production of market vegetables.
John Dixon married Blanch Randell in the December quarter of 1887 in Trunch. By 1901 the couple were living in Norwich Road, North Walsham as neighbours to Blanch's parents.
In 1901 they have no children.
